Accommodation

Important warning: July is a highly touristic season in Paris. We advise that you book your hotel at the earliest.

There are several possibilities for lodging, and we suggest a few possible hotels below. In any case, we strongly suggest that you chose an accomodation close to, or quickly connected to the Massy-Palaiseau RER B station, from which direct buses will be arranged to the Ecole Polytechnique campus. Please have a look at the RER B map and at the RATP website.

Every day transportation from your hotel to Massy-Palaiseau

If you need to take the RER train every day to reach the campus, we suggest that you buy a 1-week Navigo pass (the "Découverte" pass). You will then be free to take all public transportations within a given zone. Depending on where your hotel is, you will need to take a 1-4, 1-5 or 4-5 zone card (caution: Paris is not included in the 4-5 zone). Zone 1 is Paris downtown, Massy is in zone 4, and zone 5 starts from Le Guichet on. Typically, if your hotel is inside Paris, you need a 1-4 zone 1-week Navigo pass. It will cost 30.25 euros (for 1-4) or 33.90 euros (for 1-5) for 1 week from Monday to Sunday, plus 5 a euros fee. You can buy it at any train, metro or RER station. You will need to give a photograph. Caution: as the week starts from Monday on, it will not allow you to reach the campus on the first Sunday (the 22nd). Take single travel tickets for this first day. For your trip back, you shall know that Orly airport is in zone 3 and Charles de Gaulle (Roissy) airport is in zone 5.

Student rooms

Warning! No more student room is available.

Students rooms have been booked for 6 nights from Sunday 22, evening to Saturday 28, morning. Students who have asked for a room when registering will be either on the Polytechnique Campus (comfort rooms) or at Bures-sur-Yvette RER station (basic rooms). For the basic rooms, you will get your key in the building 231 of Bures' residence, see map. Buses will pick up students at Bures in the morning to reach the conference on time for the first session. The travel back to the rooms is not organizing by ICAP, please use the RER train.
