LPL is partnering up to create OPHÉLIA, a novel international laboratory of CNRS

On January 1, 2026, the CNRS and the OPERA center at Kyushu University in Japan launched a new international research laboratory focused on organic optoelectronics, named OPHELIA (Organic PHotonics and Electronics International Laboratory).

OPHELIA, led by Fabrice Mathevet (CNRS Chemistry), aims to encompass all aspects of organic optoelectronics, from the design of new materials to device development. The LPL’s OPAL team is one of its main partners, particularly through its research on organic lasers.
